Jenn Stone
President

Jenn Stone, LM, CPM, LPN, CLC has over a decade long career in supporting birth and her community as a doula, lactation counselor, childbirth educator, birth assistant, nurse, and currently as a licensed midwife with Jacksonville Community Midwives. She is a 2015 graduate of The Florida School of Traditional Midwifery where she also currently is part of the staff as the Academic Coordinator and as faculty educating future Midwives in Healthcare Skills.

Jenn was led to the path of birth work following the traumatic and interventive hospital births of her two children. She found healing from those experiences by educating other mothers and supporting them while they stand strong in their own innate power as they birthed their children. Now she expands that vision by forming the North Florida Birth Alliance, creating unity among fellow birth workers to be a resource to families in our community.

Maria Inoa
Mental Health Team Leader

Hi everyone! My name is Maria Inoa. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and owner of Full Potential Counseling based in Jax (offices in Ortega, at the beach, and online). My focus and passion is helping women build healthier relationships with themselves and others. As a mama to 2 little ones myself, I’m a fierce advocate for mamas taking care of their mental health. I’ve been in the field for over 13 years and love being able to hold space for people to heal and grow in whatever ways they desire. I believe that everyone has worth and significance.

I also enjoy writing and keep a regular blog with tips and education on my website. I’ve been honored to be featured in Yahoo News, HealthiNation, Hello Giggles, The Zoe Report, and Thriveworks. In addition, I participate in various speaking engagements in and around the Jax area.

Tiymarah C. Black

Tiymarah is a Certified Doula with DONA International, a Certified Lactation Counselor, Mom 2020 Ambassador and founder of Made Of A Woman Lactation Counseling and Doula Services.

Attending doula training while nursing her youngest baby, Tiymarah was inspired by the compassion of birth work. Having breastfed nine children for a cumulative of 16 years, Tiymarah became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2015. Serving as a doula for six years Tiymarah completed certification with DONA International in 2018.

Tiymarah’s calling as a birth professional truly began as she became a mother to her nine children. Birthing without access to labor support Tiymarah became her own advocate to overcome disparities as well as persevere through periods of depression in postpartum. Bearing Tiymarah’s holistic approach to birth work; embracing postpartum support practices and traditions of plant based remedies as part of the interconnected continuum of maternal and mental health to bring closure to the birth experience and healing for transformation.

Holding a Bachelors of Science degree from UF in psychology, and a background working in mental health as a case manager, Tiymarah brings this experience to serve families on their unique journey.

Jennifer Lyden
Social Media Manager

Jennifer Lyden, SBD is a certified birth and bereavement doula serving families in Northeast Florida. She moved to the area in late 2018 and is excited to be involved with the birth community in the area.

When Jennifer became pregnant with her first child, she became fascinated with everything birth and began to research it all! Then, after a wonderful midwife and assistant who attended the birth of her second child, she knew she was going to be involved in birth work in some way. While pregnant with her fourth child she began her doula training. Jennifer wants women to know about the options available to them, so they are free to choose the best birth for them.

As a homeschooling mom to her five children, she stays busy with her family and is very involved with her church family as well. Jennifer enjoys history, cooking, baking, and is always ready for travel!

Paige Dougherty

Dr. Paige Dougherty is a new resident of Jacksonville, Florida and is excited to begin helping families through chiropractic care at Chanatry Chiropractic in Arlington. She completed her doctorate of chiropractic degree at Palmer College in Port Orange, Florida.  Dr. Paige has a passion for perinatal and pediatric chiropractic and is currently working to obtain her Webster certification, Spinning Babies Certified Parent Educator Training, and acupuncture certification.
Dr. Paige is originally from a very small town in Dagsboro, Delaware and decided to move to Florida to obtain her bachelors degree in health sciences at the University of South Florida. While completing her undergraduate degree, Dr. Paige donated her eggs to 3 families that were struggling with fertility. This process requires the same medication and hormones that women undergoing IVF treatment, which is extremely taxing on the body. During each visit, Dr. Paige was given acupuncture treatments to help decrease the effects of the hormone injections. Acupuncture was the only thing that helped her get through the symptoms elicited by the medications, which is why Dr. Paige’s passion for helping women’s fertility and hormonal issues began.
